Default Lowering

Hi,

Can someone please clarify that to enable me to have more foot contact with the ground when im stopped i need to fit longer dog bones and then lower front end, in that more fork up through top yoke?

Dog bone's yes OR a lowered seat that retain's the dimensional integrity of the frame/fork/suspension?
