Would it be possible to provide measurements of the fleece like under arm to under arm. Nowadays I find L to be a little too vague.

Certainly. Chest 48" (24" under arm to under arm)

I wore it over my leathers, and I'm a 42" chest usually, about 13 1/2 stone. It didn't however swamp me if I wore it as a casual jacket.
