Default New bike running rich, please help

Hey guys. So after a couple years out (after some ******* nicked my last one!) I'm about to get an sv650. The bike is at the Suzuki dealers getting the once over. There is a slight issue with it running rich. It stalls when you blip the throttle. It has a really short race can on it and a k&n. Is this an easy/common problem. Any advice would be welcome. Cheers.

Does the price you're paying reflect solving the fault yourself? If it's a dealer selling it I'd be hesitant (why not fix it and sell it for much more? )

Yeah. I was thinking it would be something like that. I`ll see what the mechanics say to it. It's not serious enough to back out of the deal is it tho?

Its private sale. The guy just took it in for a once over and to get the rear pads changed

ahh I see, see what the mechanics say. Can't say I know much about the fuel injection unfortunatley. The price should still reflect the fault though, what price are you paying and what's the details of the bike?

i would expect any bike i bought from a suzuki dealer to be perfect first time and have no faults.

if there are faults i would be thinking twice about buying from them. after all you could save a lot more £££ buying private at this time of year. unless the dealer is giving you a cracking deal then walk and go to the next bike shop, after all its not like there aren't plenty sv's around.
