However, before buying - if you can be arsed weighing yourself and doing a bit of googling you could get linear springs at a similar price which are reportedly better.
That said anything's an improvement on stock.

I have Race Tech linear springs and 10W oil. Similar weight to you and they are a huge improvement over OEM (but then anything would be!)

I you buying K tech then they sell linears too. I don't know why anybody would buy progressive TBH. Forks have an adjustable progression ratio as standard.

Yeah fish the springs out with a wire or a magnet on a stick and suck the oil out with a syringe. But by the time you've done that you might as well do it right
