SV650.org - SV650 & Gladius 650 Forum

Idle Banter For non SV and non bike related chat (and the odd bit of humour - but if any post isn't suitable it'll get deleted real quick).
There's also a "U" rating so please respect this. Newbies can also say "hello" here too.

Default Swearing

I went on the V*sordowm Forum (why?) and, despite normally having the charm of a drunken stevedore found myself missing the SV650 U-rating. There's only so many cfuk's, tish's and cnut's one can accommodate!

Makes me want to give up sw**ring in real life.

Any good ideas how?

On barryboys forum they had "talk like a pirate" day and set an autocorrect to replace all the swears with piratey terms. It was hilarious.

I swear like a trooper, mind you Dad was in the forces for years while I was growing up, but I find that I make a concious effort not to do so around my In-Laws and step-son. After a while I find that I have to go some where private and have a really filthy shout on my own, it gets out the frustration that a harsh swear can release. Mind you, if sea gulls could talk, the ones that rest on the roof at the back of work would have learned a few choice words in the last few days.

Being a cosmopolitan Euro type I have spoken to many travellers from other countries about swearing and have traded some good ones. Swearing in other languages is fun, helps you make foreign friends and will make you look cool in the pub with some wicked Italian swearing. Personally I like swearing in German, it has a real harsh sound to it, despite it not being as rude as swearing in English.

At one time I was able to swear and curse in Polish, Czech, Italian, Spanish, French and German. Sadly I only knew how to swear in these languages and could not even say hello in most of them. I suddenly feel so very common... I'll get my coat.
