Default Throttle Slide/Electrical Wire

Hi was just curious as to anyone was breaking an Sv650 99-02, as Im after a throttle slide as I snapped my one taking the accelerator cable out of it.

There was also a wire that connects from the bottom front from the front of the engine, not exactly sure what the cable is, but it sort of almost connected directly to the battery, so possibly alternator!?????

Anyways if anyone has these parts for sale, a PM would be most appreciated,

Cheers.

Twistgrip

That wire sounds like starter motor wire, does it go from the front of the motor to a green box under right hand side seat infill panel?
really thick chunky wire?

There is only one really thick wire goes to the front of the motor. Other wire much smaller is oil pressure sender.

Remember to use a very thin 10mm spanner to hold the lower nut when you remove the cable from the starter motor. Otherwise its very easy to twist the terminal on the starter, break the plastic insulator and junk the starter (you can get a rebuild kit but cheaper to buy a s/h motor).
