In the Navy...
 (do not carry on singing please...)Seriously tho, is there anyone here who is in the Navy as an Officer? Currently going thru the application process, applying as an Engineering Officer, and wondered if anyone had any tips for the Admiralty Interview Board..? And yes, I'm sure I want to join...  ...fairly sure... |

i was a lowly rating but my ex husband worked up thru the ranks and is now an officer. we was a wem (weapons engineer) he is now an ars lol

A message from my dad...
I was always told be yourself, don't try and be someone you are not - they will find you out through questioning and tests and pretty quickly. Be positive, always think safety and don't be over bolshy - they prefer style, however they need leaders so be prepared to adjust your stance, accept advice, but they like someone with a bit of a spark to encourage, influence and help others. Read the national press tabloids, not the "tits and beckams" and get yourself up to speed with latest topical and political issues - awareness of what is going on in the world is the thing rather than having a strong political view. In the PLT's (practical leadership tests) be positive and take charge, give someone a bollocking, but listen to your team, again be prepared to change your plan if a better one is agreed upon but be safe don't put your team into danger just to try and impress the assessors.
