Normally, I'm stupid and suffer the consequences of not taking hay fever tablets year after year.
This year I feel like being a little more sensible about it. I've never bought medication off tinternets, and generally never take anything anyway as I feel a bit odd about popping pills. Does anybody have experience of online buying of tablets either in general or this site specifically? http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/30-da...s_1_10167.html |

I'm a bad sufferer if I don't take owt. I buy about 8 boxes of Boots own brand hay fever tablets, they are a weeks worth for about 80p.
I wouldn't fancy buying meds online, for the price of the Boots is it worth risking it? Will watch this thread as they are 80 tabs for 30p Last edited by Girth; 21-03-10 at 09:49 PM. |

Never sure about buying anything on line like that at all - you just don't know what you are getting. I use either Zirtek or Galpharm clone of Zirtek. Either will do - that active igredient is what counts - in this case Cetirizine Dihydrochloride I think. Can get them for about 80p a packet from Wilkinsons and they work. Have to or I would have a serious problem with my contact lens. I have been a bad sufferer since I was about 5 and these really work.
Why buy online when you can get them that cheap on the high street with no risks! |

Ive heard that eating locally produced honey can relieve the symptoms, the bees are abviously using pollen from the local area, so its a bit like an immunisation I guess

I'll try Boots and have a look for some local honey.
Barwell, prescriptions aren't free once you're over a certain age, so no free meds for me. |

The docs can prescribe some pretty strong stuff. I don't get hayfever, I've been tested and I'm not allergic to ANYTHING. I get Allergic Rhinitus which makes me look like I have mega hayfever.
I have Tesco Hayfever tabs, 50p for a box and exactly the same chemical composition as the top brands for £7. I also use a nasal spray - beconase, and for the ultimate hit, prednisolone steroid tabs. All these meds work to reduce the size of the small parts inside the nose that produce the slime. If you keep on taking the hayfever tabs, they have a cumulative effect. In short, if it's mild - go to Tesco, if not, go to the sawbone! Pete ![]()
