Question Bent forks and MOT - What should I do?

Okay so I took my Bike to get it serviced and MOT'd and as wel as needing a new chain they say the forks have no damping ( not suprised after 56k miles they're as worn out as I am).
So the shop strips the forks and about to rebuild them when they discover that they're bent. Not obviously as the last three services( different garages) have missed this, but enough for them not to pass it in the mot. (I've been riding around oblivious to this. It must have happened in 2005 when I had a parked car pull out in front of me.) Apparently they are too far gone to repair. So I told them to put it back together and I paid for the labour and rode it home.
So What am I going to do? The bike is an '02 curvey it has done 56,150 miles and it is a bit tatty (crack in the screen and one of the rear indicators is 99% gaffa tape) but its a great bike and has only broken down once in 8 years.( and that was just rain in the front spark plug well.)I bought it new and I don't want to part with it but I'm not sure how much money to throw at keeping it on the road. Has It come to that point where you cut your losses.
SO
do i get a less scrupulous MOT it and continue on bent forks?
do the above and sell it ( its not worth a lot, maybe 1200 quid)
spend the money finding spares on Ebay and getting them fitted, thats £250.
get it fixed and trade it in
abandon bikes and buy a car (just kidding)
Oh yes I've got bugger all money at the minute so its come at a really great time..
All advice gratefully received etc.
Simon.

you buy a set from ebay-set on about 80 quid or offers and get someone from the org to help/show you how to fit them

Or take them for a 2nd opinion about repairing

Motoliner in kent will straghten most things, but if it's a case of surface wear then try ABE for new ones at £80 or so.

Cheers Mark.

I might have a set of stanchions in the shed, new and unfitted. If you want them, it's £50 plus say £5 post. I'll need to check they're still around is all.

Let me know what you think.

Sorry mate, took a while getting pics sorted. Hope these are ok. Two of each tube, showing both ends/sides. There's a little internal surface rust, but nothing a scrub with a stuffed rag/bottle brush type thing and autosol couldn't shift. The outsides are shiney and new. These are made by ABE, as Rictus mentioned above i think.

If you're happy with these, pm me and we can swap details.
