Default Can't get the seat off

Well, after spending nearly a day and a half getting the brackets for my 2002 curvy on, condending with a modified undertray and fitting a Plate bracket, i've put it away to finish off tommorow, and i CAN'T GET THE DAMN SEAT OFF, it's the rear one that opens with the key. When i pull it up, the seat part is attached on one side, and on the other (right) side has a threaded bolt that's attacthed to the seat, but not to the locking mechanism.

I kinda need to get it off, i can't get the undertray back on unless i can get the seats off...

Does the key turn all the way like it used to? A common issue is where something has fallen down into the rear panel beside the lock and is stopping it from turning all the way.
Happened to me and it was a roll of electrical tape that was the culprit.

I know the feeling. You can try pulling the seat upwards sharply while turning the key back and forth rapidly and hitting it on top as hard as you can while turning the key too, then pulling it.

Worst comes to the worst try getting into the lock body area from underneath and if you can access it from there some needle nose pliers on the cable attached to the lock and a sharp tug might work.

I understand your frustration tho, i was the same, lol.

Who's a silly burgher, then?
Fitting new shock, had rear bodywork off & slapped the back seat on when all was assembled.
Job jobbed - or so I thought.
Needed it off for damper c-spanner & it was jammed shut!
Pulled rear of seat up & retrieved tool, but what to do about seat? Key seemed to be working OK but nothing was moving.
Could just see cable wasn't pulling mechanism so ' helped it with long narrow screwdriver from right hand side & released seat at last.
Why? The outer cable was detached from the key end & once it was reattached all worked as Suzuki-san intended.

I had a similar problem with mine a while back. With mine a bolt that holds my disk lock together had fallen into the mechanism and jammed it, so when i turned the key it didnt pull the cable to release the seat.
Got round it by taking off the front seat and trying to remove rear fairing n then ended up just reaching through from under it n trying to release it or remove whats jamming it.?
