Not a happy bunny!!
Just dropped my motorbike and burnt a hole in the outside of my nice new Alpinestar Goretex trousers. Can I get them repaired? They are only a week old and I'm guessing they wont be repaired on warranty.

Not sure how big the hole is but you can buy goretex patches. Any outdoor shop should be able to help.
EDIT: Read this http://www.gore-tex.co.uk/remote/Sat...SessionWrapper

It is possible to repair Gore fabrics, but any stitching around the patch will need to be sealed with a seam seal. Your good independent outdoor store should be able to offer a good place for the repair.
The manufacturer should be able to offer a repair service, my mountaineering kit can be repaired easily enough, so I can't imagine they wont. |

I'm more annoyed as the sticking has come away in 3 different places and I was due to take them back today/tomorrow and then get replaced on warranty but I bet they won't repair them now.

I'd be quite happy in your shoes: it was the pants and not the skin..
When this happened to me, I didn't have biking pants on. Dropped it at a stand still and while trying to hold it, I squeezed the exhaust with my right leg.. Now I've got a big mark to remind me not to do it again.. |

Andreis, I know I'm lucky but still I'm annoyed! Its very fustrating when they are a week old and you were due to take them back and now theres a chance I can't so I have a crap pair of Alpinestar trousers which should be £360 New.
