Id say they are worth it IMO, and if you get a good one, fitted well, they cause no hassle what so ever.
Mines already worked once, and ive only had me bike a month. |

If fitted properly and correctly then yes probably great! But otherwise cause more trouble than their worth!

Never had issue with mine, a lot of people do though. Suppose it depends if its necessary for you, or if you really can do without it.

Votes yes but to be honest, i like the imobiliser and i suppose if any local scrote was stupid enough to walk past 3 or 4 more nickable bikes nearby then the alarm may give him some pause before he kicks it over LOL

Personal choice maybe more peace of mind than anything it won't stop the bike getting nicked though(have had bike nicked with every security device fitted). As for the reduction in insurance about £30 on average so hardly cost effective for a £300 outlay.Personally I wouldn't bother with an expensive one get one off ebay for about £25 will make a noise and immobilise bike.Better off spending money on decent chain and lock.If your insurers insist then not a lot of choice.

Rather than big chain and lock, thats a bit annoying and heavy carrying around, I carry a great big mother of a disk lock instead, that just fits under the seat.
The alarm/imobiliser thing is really good, I don't like to use the alarm all that often, but as the imobilisers automatic, I can have peace of mind its got something working.
