Default Is this the definition of Irony...?

Travelling towards Croydon this morning, clear right hand lane leading up to lights 30 yards ahead, traffic solid in left hand lane.

Young chap pulls out without looking in mirrors from the stationary left lane, knocking me off, sending me down the road a bit, under the bike.

I forgive any driver for saying "Sorry mate I didn't see you..." as it gives me the opportunity to say "Well, if you had, and still did it, I'd be really cross!", but get this, he was in a hurry, as he was late for an "Advanced driving course!"

I bet he failed - he was so jumpy after the accident, I had to calm *him* down before he could drive off after exchanging details!

Still a bit sore, the bikes a bit of a mess, but anyone you can walk away from.... and I got an admission of liability from Directline less than 20 minutes after I reported to his insurers, as they grabbed him on his mobile whilst still at his course!

Yeah that's pretty ironic all right! Glad to hear he's admitted liability and stuff.

Main thing is you're okay, which is all you can ask for really. Good thing about the liability and hopefully the guy that hit you will learn from this.

Now just hang on a minute, this guy was on an "Advanced Driving" course & answered his mobile phone, sorry but if that was me i wouldn't have even had it turned on regardless of if i was driving or in a classroom, i hope he failed.

Glad you're ok though.
