Default Volunteering for the RNLI? Anyone done it?

Been looking into it.

Anyone done it, how close do you have to live to the station?

Are you always on call or do you have set times?

Cheers

idealy you need to live within 4 mins of a station

different stations work differently.some have a rota and some have a first come first aboard system. Im guessing you are thinking of poole station. I believe they are working on a rota system but will have to check for you

What you thinking about doing?

4 mins, rubbish. im about 10-12 at speed limit and according to google maps. but its prob a fair bit less in reality. But i would have to be hauling ass for 4 mins.
