I was under the impression I could use the bike NCB. It wasn't until they sent the forms through the post that I had to prove I'd got the NCB. Since the car and bike are through the same company I give them a bell, as soon as I told them my car policy was void and I have to start a new quote.
So in short, with Express Insurance it's a no. |

its daft becuase you cant use the NCB but you have to declare bike claims. so really imo you should be able to use them, as they take into account your claims so why not take into account your NCB
* I think some one on here said there are one or two company's that do *

Officially no, you can't
But if you phone the insurer concerned I know of people who have several years bike NCB who have received several years car NCB as a goodwill gesture Note, this isn't a car insurance company accepting bike NCB on a car policy, but the insurer giving you X years NCB at their discretion. You cannot say on any application form that you have "X years NCB" - you have to call them and ask Probably works best with companies that insure both cars and bikes

Many insurers will credit you with NCB as a result of driving history. For example my daughter got 4 years NCB on her first policy as a result of being a named driver on my policy etc. At renewal she got 5 years and offered protected NCB etc.

Thanks guys. I have not owned a car in ages and used the wifes all these years. I think you can find an insurer that will allow you to use ncb from a policy you have been on so going to try that now.
