Help with online tv

im with my dad in spain at the min but he cant get uk tv
he really just wants to watch the f1 but as you cant use bbc iplayer over here he's stuck
now i know there are free tv streaming sites that bypass this issue but for the life of me i cant remember which ones

so org what are they and where online

The best Sky Digibox's for good reception in the Costa Blanca area are the Thomson 4214 or Pace DS430N, the Goodmans Freesat box also works very well, as does the Darkbox. There has been a batch of the Pace DS440 which appears to have an intermittent fault or tuner problem which causes what appears to be channel crosstalk, on CH4, Ch5, Sky Three and a few Sky TV UK channels.
The problem appears related to large dish reception in fringe areas and is probably due to tuner sensitivity or selectivity issues. Pace SKY+ and HD Boxes all seem to work well.

Here's a viewer report from Madeira:

"I'm getting good results with 1.8m except in the rain although I never lose channel 5 or fiver US, in the summer I seem to lose channel 4. All other channels seem OK."

Once you’re in Spain you’ll have a heck of a time trying to download your favourite TV shows from iTunes or watching TV on apps like Joost because of IP address filtering (they know you’re in Spain which is outside of their license boundaries). But there are at least 33 ways to watch TV online in Spain (okay, some may not work for the above mentioned reasons, but some definitely do).

Babelgum
Zattoo - very promising; highlighting European television content and available in Spain.
SurfTheChannel - links to all kinds of stuff that may or may not be legally available.
BBC is supposed to be putting a lot of their video content on YouTube. I haven’t heard if this is actually happening yet or what. If you find out then let us know in the comments at the bottom of the page here.

There’s also SlingBox, which is a box that you hookup to your friend/family’s TV connection back home and it “slings” the programming to your computer. Cool huh? There’s been some discussion of this on this forum post.

Pay for use of a uk proxy server, about £6-£10 a month, you will then have access to all sites avilable from the uk. Theres are often deals for USA+UK servers.

F1 in spain is shown in most bars, especially as the football season has ended is this not an option big man?

There are sites like tvcatchup.com or seesaw but I very much suspect they're uk only sorry if this is no help but might be worth a try for the sake of 5 mins.

Ive tried tvcatchup in Germany and it doesnt work, I suspect its similar in Spain.
