Default What would you do if

your driving through your village at 30mph as the law says and the impatient freelander driver is obviously irritated behind you as I have stopped hem blatting through at 50,

We both turn right onto the main road at the end of the village and I accelerate moderately up the road and to my dismay I find him accelerating to try and over take, initially struggling, as I am already in a good gear and pulling away from him, as he fails to pull much further than along side I find myself deciding to back off rather than out drag him (which I could have done in a second or two), for fear of it ending in tears and I get accused of racing or goading by the plod if & when they pull him out of a field.

I let myself down with the next bit by flipping him the V's when he pulls in front as he has been in my mind a **** and its early and I have no tolerance for idiots like this. He then plays the ****** game and brakes hard several times just to try and irritate me, I have already backed off at this point and am leaving to it, however he is still trying to brake hard to throw me,

I follow him as we are both going the same way and witness more awful driving to the point I was tempted to take his plate and report for dangerous,

I shake my head and arrive at work safe...

My question to you is.. should I just have out dragged him and ****ed him off for dust,
should I report him for his ridiculous manoeuvre and doing 50 though the second 30mph we come accross?

I know he comes through our village the same time every day.. I might just make a nail stick... that will **** up his day...

and breath...........

be warned suffolk riders / drivers.. blue Freelander 55 plate in the otley area,

You should have completely ignored him and let him overtake you. He is obviously an accident waiting to happen. Better it be if your not involved.

I had something similar. Driving in a 50mph zone into a 30. It's a 30 because there is a school just up the road. 4x4 driver catches me up as I hit the 30 zone so slow down appropriately. He is flashing his lights at me and raises his hands in despair as though I am doing something really stupid by driving so slowly. He eventually overtakes me directly outside the school and zooms off up the road. Gesticulating to me as he passes. I never reacted to him. I then followed him for the next 5 miles in traffic. Sometimes it just isn't worth reacting to it.

technically you done right slowed down to let him in after his carppy attempt at an overtake.
next time outdrag him leaving him standing and let him catch up in the 30, then outdrag/ overtake him again
no fingers no nothing except a nice big grin when you go past. It will infuriate him more

That only works if its attached to the Freelander after all I doubt the Freelander would feel a towbar on a lower car in its front end.

It happens from both sides of the coin Alex, we get stupid chav a*holes in Corsas right up the rear end of our Freelander, Pegs been tempted so many times to just bang on the brakes and put a towbar in the rad grill Usually we can just feck off, as the V6 pulls pertty well, leaving them behind to play games on their own

Just let the twonk past, hes obviously some pillock of Suffolk that thinks because he wears a tweed waistcoat and flat cap he can get away with things like this with lesser folk

Rad ends up pretty low on those anyway... they are not 4x4 height. Plus numbers did not say what he is driving.

Deffo did the right thing there mate, mind you, if he had a proper Land Rover you wouldn't have had to worry about him needing to get pulled out of a field (had to get that in there)
