Holiday photo's Greece, Skiathos

just a few pics from last week

taken with a 7.2mp snapper (lumix DCM TZ3 that is for sale (pm if your interested)

i will post some more up when i get them from the GF's DSLR

im buying a DSLR soon so hope next holiday the pics will be better

very nice island we explored most of it on quad's and its neighbouring island Skopelos (where Mamma Mia was filmed ) some very nice scenery

yeh the run way is erm fun...

and no i dont tan well at all lol

i went 13 years ago and it hasn't changed much, it is a very very nice place, not cheep though any more. Partly because of the exchangerate but mostly because of the mamma mia film. The island is very small and there is only one main road the rest is off road, so you can go and get your selves lost knowing eventualy you will find your way back ohh and you can rent a number of things like xt660's jeeps, 300cc quads (what i had) and mopeds for the most part it dosnt matter what license you have

And just beyond the hump is the end of the runway. Landing is interesting, full on brakes almost before touchdown. After take off they have to land on the mainland to refuel - the runway isn't long enough to take off with a full load of fuel.

that was the worse thing about it, having to wait around for 40min to refuel

mmmm, 2nd time at Thessonliki we refueled pretty quickly but I wasn't comfy sitting on a plane in 40+degrees whilst the smell of fuel was very strong.
