Hello,
My K5 SV650s just had her service/MOT done and after 5 years I finally got my heated grips brought 5 years ago fitted. I got home last night to find my R&G left bar end very loose, this is the third time I have done then up, its not the screw, thats tight, my guess is the Hein Gericke grips stick out further and so the rubber bung is not holding the bar end in tight? Can someone recommend a different set of bar ends or how I can fix the problem please before I loose a bar end on the road? I did do a search but could not find a solution or my tried eyes missed it. Thanks in advance Richard |

I stuck 3 or 4 washers in to bulk out the screw length when i put my grips on as opposed to cutting the grip.

Figured it out, I was having a senior moment!
When I took the whole bar end out I realised that the little washer that compresses the rubber and makes it swell up and hold position was missing! A trip to Halfords for washers and the jobs a good one! ![]() Thank you to everyone that responded and helped me figure it out! Cheers Richard |
