Looking at hiring a van for the Nurburgring this weekend after the car had its cambelt go in France on Sunday.
Will two roadbikes with fairings ('08 Blade and my K6 GSXR 750) fit in the back of a Mercedes Vito ok? |

Yes, but there'll not be much room for anything else!
If you pass the Swedish Bikini Team Hitch hiking you'll kick yourself you didn't got for the Sprinter! ![]() C Last edited by Berlin; 20-07-10 at 12:40 PM. |

My mate regularly puts two R1s in the back of his Vito people carrier, however he has gone to the trouble of getting a pair of those bike cradles for them to sit in. As has been said it's tight, but doable... If you're hiring why not get something bigger, or is the Vito a bargain?

Depends on the van and length of the bikes short wheelbase may have to remove front passenger seat to get two in .
One bike in a swb Vito the front wheel protrudes between the two front seats so a quick measure up would be in order |

I'll go for the transit then, an extra 20 quid but more space.

My experience is that a vito is a tad too small. And a sprinter can hold a full garage.

I've known a GSXR750 and a Triumph Daytona go in the back of one of them, plus all riding gear and clothes and 2 off road bikes on a trailer behind. No problem

The company doesn't have a ramp for the back of the van
![]() Any tips for getting them in? Noting I have no real transport apart from a push bike at the moment. |
