Default Cornering advice?

I will admit right from the word go that I have only had my sv650s for just over a month and I had a 125 before that...

But I am trying to lean my bike over a bit further but every time I reach a certain point I can feel the back end starting to slip. Am I doing something wrong? I am puzzled because I have not really got the bike leaning that far over so corners I should be able to take quickly like other bikers I can not as the back wheel starts to slip. Any advice?

What tyres? Suspension mods? Adjustments? How much you weigh? Tyre pressures? Etc.

tyres and contrack I think. The mark has all but worn away. No suspension mods, front forks have been adjusted slightly but rear untouched, I am only 65-70kg with bike gear on, tyre pressures are 33front and 33ish on the bike (what the haynes manual says)

How many miles have your tyres done?

Has the rear squared off?

This may be causing the symtoms you're describing.

Doesn't the manual say 36psi for the back?

EDIT:
Does this sound similar?

tyre dose not look to have squared off any. Yes it is 36psi. Just checked tyre pressure and it is 35psi.

Edit:

Yeah that describes my bike more or less to the point apart from mine feels like its slipping even at lower speeds.

Conti Road Attacks should be 36/42. 33/36 are for the stock tyres.

could it possibly be the rear suspension is too hard? especially cos your not very heavy, might be worth checking the sag and all that?
