Default Northern Lights

There's a chance that we might just get a decent aurora (Northern Lights) show tonight.

Big 'solar storm' on Sunday sent a lump of plasma heading our way and it should arrive tonight / early tomorrow. The more northerly you are, the better your chances but its worth sticking your head outside later tonight and having a look northwards anyway. (There was a display a few years ago that was visible in Spain!)

If its not cloudy I suspect.

Just to add, I also read somewhere, that we should take a note in the sky at night for Mars appearing much larger than life this month. Apparently it will appear as big as the moon? Not sure about that, but am willing to keep an eye!
A spectacle that has never been seen in gosh knows how many years, and you'll never see in your lifetime or the next generation either.

Look up
