Default pair removal when fitting a power commander?

I had a chat with a guy about getting a power commander on the 650 k3 as its now got a full micron system and he said it will need the pair system removed?

Ive had a look through threads and all its good for is saving weight and stopping the popping.

Weighs nothing and the popping sounds good - can't see the benefit of removal.

He's full of it.

I have a PC and a full micron and it's fine.

After I removed mine I did think that - hey ho!

When I fitted my PCIII to the 'thou I removed the PAIR system, disconnected the O2 sensor and removed a pin from the ECU - then had it set up properly (the most important bit) by BSD Motorcycle Developments
