Default Motorway Cops

Anyone watch it? two young kids 5 and 6 left at home on there own all day whilst the parents work, unbelievable!

A 93y old driving in the fast lane of the motorway in the wrong direction, love what he says in the car when he's left alone.

Also the police fined a felllow colleague for using a mobile whilst driving, she got very emotional, i was suprised.

That policewoman was dreadful!! If she gets herself in that much of a state cos she got lost in her car, how on earth is she going to be capable of dealing with the day to day stressful situations of the job. She was pathetic.

And as for the parents of the kids, that just defies belief! Im not ready to leave my 10yr old alone and she is very sensible, what on earth were they thinking?

Couldnt help but feel sorry for the old boy but I was amazed by the apparent lack of interest from his son. Surely he must have known for years that his dad was a danger on the roads.

I do feel that those stories were chosen for shock value though, and couldnt help but feel the policewoman was on there just to demomstate how 'fair' the police are. Couldnt help but wonder if she'd have got away with it if the cameras weren't rolling. It may be i'm just getting cynical in my old age.

I now feel justified for shouting at old and women drivers. Thank you BBC.

sort of disagree about the son of the old boy, he was letting them interview him without speaking for his dad, afterall the interview wasn't the time and place to tell him he shouldn't be driving any more as it might have been all too much for him. The result of his license being withdrawn was correct though. I think he was showing respect for his dad also.

I didn't see it, but am confused by your comments. Can you please tell me what the "fast" lane is? There certainly wasn't one when I took my test 33 years ago. You had the left lane and the adjacent overtaking lanes.

Then again we appear to now have slow lanes and trucks lane and god knows how many other excuses for sitting in the 2nd/3rd lanes.

back to the other threads, people who sit in the "overtaking" lanes for no reason should get the cane or birch

It's common terminology used for lane 3 of the motorway, or lane 2 of a dual carriageway or two lane motorway. It may not be the correct term, but most people know what it means, surprised there is any confusion

so I should have been in the far right lane for my 135 empty motorway episode in the other thread. Hmmm I think that would have got me different attention from the police
