Default Advice about moto gp in Mugello

I'm looking at going to Mugello next year - I know its ages off but will need to save!!!!

Has anyone been and if so how did you travel, where did you stay etc.

I want to stay beyond the race for a holiday as well as it'll be part of my others halfs 40th pressie so any advice on where is good for the Italian experience would be great

Not been to Mugello but Florence is nice. Or if you fancy a beach holiday fly into Rimini, stay there and hire a car for the drive across to Florence - about 2 hours from what I remember.

A guy I used to work with went a couple of years ago with wife and kids. Stayed in Florence I think and hired a car to go to the track. Just about made the start of the GP race due to immense traffic and took 7 hours to get out again. Said it was brilliant atmosphere though, just leave for the track v v v v early in the morning
