Default genuine or scam

hi guys mate of mine is trying to sell his honda civic on ebay and he had an like of somew one regarding about, anybody have any ideas whether this is a genuine or a scam

thanks
jay

this the email off he had sent to him.

Ok just wanted to make sure nothing is been left out..where is it located,I have to pay the agent commission fee first in order to be able to schedule suitable pick up date and time and i tried to pay online.but it requires a credit card to make the transfer online which i don't have access to.i will be paying you from my company account so it has no limit to transfer funds.

Do you mind if i add my shippers fee to your payment and when you get my payment, you can help me transfer their charges to them via western union since i do not have access to Western Union here at the moment?

I understand PayPal has a 3.9% PayPal charges will be including as well..And is this the paypal email to send funds to?

Your fast response is anticipated
Regard.

OK I've read that 3 times and I STILL don't understand what they are actually asking for except that it's setting my 419 senses into overdrive.

hey guys he just had another one any ideas about this one

Hi thanks for reply, i am a marine engineer, i am at sea right now. I am buying this for my son as a surprise gift. I can only pay through paypal at the moment as i dont have access to my bank account online(i dont have internet banking with it), but i have it attached to my paypal account, and this is why i insisted on using paypal to pay,all i will need is your paypal email address to make the payments, and if you dont have a paypal account yet, you can set one up at www.paypal.com it cant take you less than 3mins to do that, i will be expecting your paypal email so l can pay. I have a pick up agent that will come for the pick up after payments has been sorted, and also do get back to me with your best offer. l will be waiting for your reply asap

Ok while paypal is fine, keep in mind buyers can dispute and get their money back and again the language used and the story is just so typically 419 it would concern me.
The link to paypal as you copy pasted it seems fine but check it on the original mail and see if it really links to paypal =p

They seem very concerned to justify their use of paypal despite paypal being very normal, and the wording is ...strained....as if someone's trying to hard to get the English right =p

This (as well as the previous message), would make me ignore the emails.

However if your mate decides to go ahead with this (I would not), make sure he checks his PP account, as it has been known for people to receive fake PP emails saying "you have founds" when their actual account remained empty.

Keep well clear. If the story was true, he could quite easily call the bank and get a transfer done from a current account.

At the end of the day, he is "at sea" and has full internet access.....so a phone call should not be an issue!!!!

This is a blatant scam, only use Paypal if you are buying stuff or reciving money from people you know or trust. Never use it any other time. Please advise your freind not to do this!!!!
