Smile Hi, newbie here!

Hello everyone!

I've had a quick scout on the forum and cant spot a "newbie" introduction section so sorry if this is in the wrong place!

I live in Bristol (close to the Portway) and have a 2000 model Hornet project in progress (If you're interest - http://www.hondahornet.org.uk/messag...p?f=10&t=16004), I've been using a car whilst working on the bike and frankly I hate it so last night I purchased a black 1999 SV with 12months MOT and 28k on the clock and it's got a high rise BOS can which sounds great!

Its got a few little bits of rust on it, but TBH as it's Suzuki i'm not that surprised or concerned as bits are cheap and well interchangeable and I cant help but play with things!

I do have to sort out the Rev counter though, it's got the "dandruff" on the display and is intermittantly working (or not working - glass half empty ), I've seen instructions for replacing the sticker but I think the not working issue is unrelated, Anyone got some advise on checking this out?

Looking forward to chatting nonsense on here and maybe a few rides in the future!

I can't help either, but welcome!

I'm not far from you so a rideout at somepoint would be good.

Welcome,
I've a little experience in ataking the clocks off an 01 curvy sv, is yours faired or un faired?
it it's faired, the clocks are relatively easy to get out and get to the sticker pm if you want tips, will take about an hours alltogether (knwo this as i recently replaced 2 of the 3 dead bulbs that illuminate the clocks (still got 1 to do and replace the middle one with a brighter bulb.

Hi there from Plymouth.

Put a Hi or Newby thread in Idle Banter and put a thread asking for help in the SV Talk tuning and tweaking sub forum.

Regards
