Awesome!!! That will solve my knee down problem haha

Useful in the wet on a track though I guess.

But imagine having to explain them on a nice hot summers day at your local bike meet.

Serious question time.

Why do you want to drag your knee across the road? What purpose does it serve?

Road not much point, track mucho point

Cant remember exact reason but you want to get half your backside off the seat knee out and your body in some kind of position, the more body weight you use to corner the more the bike sits upright and the more contact patch the tyres have with the road / track allowing you to go round the corner faster / more safely with less chance of falling off knee down really just helps you keep the bike up*

*i have probably just given the worst possible or completely wrong explanation although i hope it helps a a little

Childish amusement mostly
But it does stabilise the bike a hell of a lot and tells you how far you are leant over(ground clearance), and some people can catch a front wheel slide on their knee. Very useful for track.

Hanging off is different, separate to knee down.
If you are off the side of the bike (just your head, shoulders, or head shoulders and ar*e too) then you are increasing your effective lean angle while decreasing the bikes lean angle. Means more ground clearance (peg digging in will have you off!) and less stress to tyres (tyres letting go also = crash)

Bragging rights only, don't think it makes you any faster or anything, just would be nice to be able to do it when you want
