This may well be a silly question but thought I would ask it before spending money on the wrong thing.
I bought an Akra system on ebay, minus can, my question is, will the slip on cans fit directly to the end of this system, without a link pipe? or are there specific cans designed for use with the full system? Piccy: ![]() Thanks Ben Last edited by benji106; 28-10-10 at 10:56 AM. |

Depends on the diameter of the can - I've got a spare micron sytem and the can doesn't fit on the Akra headers (Akra can is slightly larger diameter than micron can), so not all will fit.

The Akra one goes straight on, if you want to fit a different one then you might have trouble, but people like Quill can make anything fit anything for you, you'd have to put the link pipe in the post to them though. Needs a mighty does of Autosol that! Mine tarnishes very quickly in the real world too.

Thanks for the info sounds like an Akra slip on should fit straight on then. Yeah I will be cleaning it up before I fit it, one of the brackets needs rewelding too. Can you MIG titanium?

if its a full arka system (by looks it is) any 50mm slip on should work.
best thing is to measure to bore of the pipe to be sure what size it is.

Its 51-53mm so any of the usual suspects should fit on with a clamp.
and any of the same size cans fit (early R6 etc). Just ask the size of the can inlets on Ebay. they go for £75-£90 a few times a week on Ebay. C Last edited by Berlin; 30-10-10 at 05:54 PM. |

Don't go thinking about buying a new akra can from a dealer as they're really really expensive. I was quoted about £300 just for the can!
