Default Technology Changing Times

Just a video I used in a seminar presentation on cloud computing last week. Will bore the pants of some, and be of interest to others. If it doesn't interest you there's a little red X in the top right hand corner

A bit US centric, but there's still some quite astonishing statistics in there. The one about the power of a $1000 computer by 2049 is scary if it comes true, think The Matrix, or Terminator! Also shows how far behind the western world is getting left compared to China or India. Maybe we are the third world of the future?

Discuss... if you want!

YouTube Video

Yeah, I can see the matrix link xD
Some of the things in there are just plain scary, such as how fast it's taken ipod or internet to reach 50million people, and how fast technology is growing.
I am liking the idea of the ultra fast broadband though hehe

So Ralph, what does come next? What direction did the presentation take and who was it for?

Quite interesting stuff.

Lol, I don't claim to be able to answer the last question but it's a good way to get people listening and thinking about the pace of evolution in technology, leading into cloud computing just being the next natural evolution in the IT industry. Anyway, enough shop talk, that IS boring.

'China will soon become the number one English speeaking country in the world'. What's that about, and why would it be?

2,660 CD's per second broadband sounds crazy. Insane speeds.
