We were out on a ride-out from one end of the island to the other (takes about 20 minutes in all honesty), when Mr Zunkus ran out of fuel. After Stephen had taken plenty of well justified abuse from his lovely wife Susan, he hurridly found an old pop bottle chucked on the verge, and then Stephen's brother Simon and his g/friend Kizzie shot off on their Z750 to get enough fuel for our favourite Maltese orger to get going and to a petrol station. While Simon and Kizzie were gone I set about cutting down and trying to eat as many pr1ckly pears as I could without spiking myself.

I learned two things - it doesn't matter if you run out of fuel in Malta because you are never too far from anything and if you are in the middle of nowhere and hungry, there's always something to eat growing by the roadside.

It is cleaner than it has any right to be. That is a thing about Maltese bikers, they really do care for their bikes in a way that we could never comprehend. Even Kwak's bikes would be filthy in comparison
