OK, maybe I'm not bionic but I did just have my final x-rays and my stitches out so my broken elbow is now officially fixed, apart from a six screw holes which will fill in over the next few weeks.

My surgeon has sent a letter to my GP which included the line "I have advised the patient to avoid motorcycle accidents, especially in remote areas of Thailand, in both the short and long term!"

He gave me a stern look when I told him I'd emailed the tour company last night to check on availability for their trips in March/April 2011.

Aww glad you all healed and you can do dot to dot if you get bored til the holes fill up !!

My surgeon is an absolute sweetie. Not at all pompous like some of them. The first thing I did when I got to the AR10 was send him a photo text message to show him I'd arrived safely as he knew he had to get me fixed up for it and he managed it. He normally specialises in putting footballers, rugby players and cricketers back together, not women who try and throw themselves into ditches on bikes.
