Default My "Lost" pay packet

I'd like to say a massive thanks to a Mr Walker of Versko in Glasgow.

Yesterday (06/12/2010) I was walking the 15 miles home from uni as there was no public transport at that moment in time. About 0.5 miles into the journey I put my hand into my back pocket, and found my pay packet, worth 30 hours, was gone. Retraced my steps and couldn't find it so resigned myself to the fact that it was a goner.

This morning I wake up to a missed call from my work, when I phoned them back, they said a guy had found my pay packet lying on the pavement and had googled the company on the pay slip to get in touch.

So all in all, I've not lost a weeks wages, there's still some goodness left in Glasgow! I am forever in the guys debt!

Rob Walker, You sir are a legend!

Yay...I love this story. Restores faith in humanity and all that, but more importantly...you get your wages on the run up to Christmas!

Fab Munky!

Years ago I lost my wallet containing several hundred in Preston. When I got home, my bank phoned. A guy had contacted them using the details on my cheque guarantee card. I went up to his house, roughest council estate in Preston, He would not accept anything for his honesty.

So I went back that night left a bottle of good scotch on his door step with a thank you card and rang the doorbell.

It is nice to know there are still honest people in the world.

Awesome news... I always make a point of picking stuff up, normally dropped hats, gloves or scarfs at this time of year then tieing them to the nearest hand rail of lamp post.

Not on the same league as hundreds of pounds but it makes me feel good.

I lost a glove once, I was gutted I couldn't find it.

Yep i've to go and see him at his office tomorrow, and the first question's gonna be "what do you drink" at which point i'll run off to my favourite alchymahol shop, and get him a rather large bottle. It'd have been all too easy for him to have pocketed the ~£250 and thought no more of it!
