Default Stranded

not sure if anyone is around today probably still sleeping.
I was about to ride down to Portsmouth from london and was all kitted up,went to start the bike and it turned over but did not start, the lcd screen also went all funny and the neutral light was dimming. The past week it has taken a few turns to start but thought it was the cold.

Today nothing, could it be the battery, but it is only 7 months old do batteries go that quick.I have no means of charging it and breakdown is on the way.

Just not sure if the battery should go that quick,i ride 5 days out of 7 14 mile round trip is that long enough to charge the battery and most of the riding is start stop(traffic lights)

Help

check your charging circuit, plenty of threads on how to do that.

Cheers Mark.

all seems fine, must be the cold and infrequent use that has killed it

sounds like a battery not holding charge in the cold, have you checked the charge rate in all ways like i.e. with lights off, lights on, at 5k?

I bet you mostly ride around London - so no time for battery to recharge properly - and cold kills batteries. Put it on a charger!
