Hey lad hows things? The guy that setup my SV for me used Kent Cams in an engine he built and actually lost power. He is finding good results by altering the timing with the standard cams. Be wide as to the spec you spec if you know what I mean

I believe the way Kent Cams work their's is to remove metal from the opposite side from the lobe and then when you re-shim them you effectvely get "higher" lift.

Others either manufacture from scratch or add metal to the existing lobes and reprofile.

I believe JHS have a good rep.

I somehow doubt they are using them on a 72bhp minitwin bike I would say she is referring to customers bikes they build

Yup in the tuned SV motors both 650 and 700cc versions. I cant give an exact BHP figure as we have only ever fitted them with other tuning work but the lastest spec ones made 2bhp more and held the power longer than the original spec Kent cams. No problems running them, the top end on the SV is pretty much bomb proof.

We have been using Kent for a while & built the fastest SV's in Ireland this year.
Mark Glasgow won the National & Kildare championships & Michael Sweeney had wins & podiums on roads & short circuits.
