Default New Can & Tail Tidy

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to talk about my Christmas period.

Bought a new Fuel Carbon Stubby Can and fitted, first ride out on Saturday and decided to take the baffle out and What a Sound. it's brilliant to hear that bike now Roar. Permanent Grin

I have now also bought a R&G tail tidy and was wondering how difficult it is to fit as it looks quite complicated. Any advice / tips on this.

Thanks

I fitted an r&g tail tidy a few months ago its takes a wee bit time but is not too complicated i found this you tube vid was helpfull:-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kw-tZxkuagQ

Only problem i had was had to file a wee bit of the original bracket on the bike frame to get tail tidy to fit but was not a big issue.
This is the result:-

Original bracket ??
mine came with 2 new ones.

The worst part is getting the fairing off, mainly the square panel behind the seat due to the bolts locations and orientation which makes you swear at it alot.

take you time and sus stuff out before going at it to much.

hard to explain, the holes that the original screws/bolts came out of where you attach new tail tidy to bike frame! i got new brackets as well but there were spacers with it and they just caught edge of where you bolt it to bike frame meaning the 4 bolt holes were unable to line up properly was only about 2-3mill out! have i done it completly wrong? lol

if it works it works, so cant be to wrong.

Cheers Kaivalagi and thanks Dfraser76 for the you tube link.

I'm hoping it will arrive on Friday so get prepared for some swearing around the Birmingham area. LOL.

Watching that video has helped though.
