Default Smartphone users, help me pick the right phone...

Hi all

Usually up at the cutting edge of technology when it comes to most things, but phones aren't one of them...

I'm off to work in Europe in a few months time and shall need a new phone that's more of a technological point of contact than "just" a phone.

Currently have a 5800 and tbh I'm a little disappointed, the Symbian OS isn't particularly good IMO and the internet is hit and miss at best.

I don't use many minutes or texts, but I'm heavy with data (to give you an idea, just on my desktop at home I've sent/rec 85GB since the new year) - obviously I won't use the heavy bandwidth stuff on the move but I'm still a youtube fan, a decent web browsing experience is vital

So, while in Berlin before Xmas my sisters bf had an Iphone 3, and I was quite impressed, despite my misgivings with the apple company ethos I'm pretty much set on the Iphone 4 to replace mine in a few weeks when Vodafone will let me

Unless there's a compelling reason to go with something else? Hurr Derr Apple is gay isn't a valid reason btw...

So, members of the org, what do you have, what do you like about it, perhaps more inportantly what don't you like about it?

td;dr - Need a new smartphone, iPhone 4 or other?

I'm happy with what I think VF will offer me for the 4 tbh, although you're right, the 3 is significantly cheaper...

Plus the 3 has only 8GB memory, 32GB 4 for me...

Plus the 3 has a curved back, just the fact that it would rock ono a flat table would be enough to put me off

I think it will be down to your own personal preference over the HTC Desire or the iPhone4.

Don't tell them but I'm keen to stay with Vodafone tbh, they offer the best deals for someone who's likely to spend a lot of time in Europe..
