Default Bought me some Gixxer forks

Ah the dangers of boredom + ebay.
Took a punt on some GSXR 600 K1 forks and yolks (and a spindle in the photo but not mentioned in the ad) and won them for £77 including postage. Bit of a bargain no?

Ive been trawling old posts looking for info on doing this swap so will try and avoid asking any silly questions as I know the subject has been done to death.

Now I have a shopping list (probably wont be buying anything til next month as have to go to Stockholm for 2 weeks at end of the month)

TWF Top Bearing & Race
K1-3 Calipers
K1-3 Disks
K1-3 Wheel
Speedo sensor + Magnets
Clip ons (TL100s?)

Couldnt find a definitive answer on the clipons for k1 forks in my search also am I right in thinking I can use the top yoke as is? Sure I will have some more questions as things progress so thanks in advance chaps.
Ben

EDIT: going on a Curvy 'S

Good point, updated the original post. was pretty chuffed with the price (subject to them turning up of course, seems to be a reputable seller)

Yep so I saw in one of the older threads. I thought that the gixxer clipons were too low and caused issues with the faired Sv? how was the swap? fairly straight forward? anything to look out for?
Thanks

I dont' think those yokes will go straight onto your bike without issue with lockstops/steering lock.

ive got K2 forks, to make it easy i have SRAD 600 yokes so i dont loose the lockstop or steering lock, originaly i spaced in the calipers by 2mm on each side but i replaced that with disk spacers instead which are made for TL->GSXR fork conversions, SRAD wheel

i cant remember if i used SRAD 600 or K1 600 spindle, they are diffrent, you will notice one will push the wheel too far to one side

cant use TL clipons as they are for USD forks

if you dont mind loosing lockstop and steering lock then you can use all K1 parts

check all your parts fully, lots of GSXR parts have been crashed and come with varied ammount of damage to forks and disks

Cheers for the info.So if I go down the route of SRAD yokes, does that remove the need for the TWF Bearing?

ok cheers. will probably do that then on the basis I should be able to flog the K1 yokes to cover the costs of the SRAD ones and would like to retain the steering lock. TSM where did you get your disk spacers from mate?

unless he decides to press out the stem and change it for the SV one, but that is more of a pain and added weight
