Default Shift to CET

for those who watched Tonight, tonight you know what it is all about.

For the rest, there appears to be a group of nutters proposing that the UK adopt CET. Their argument being nobody get up in the morning, therefore add an extra hour of darkness to give an extra hour of daylight in the evening.

I get up at 6.00 am. but my daughter gets up at 5.00am in order to get the 6:10 to work. I have to walk the dog and then leave for work about 6:20 am.

why should our already half a year of darkness in a morning be extended. Have you tried to walk/clean up after a dog in the pitch black. How about we give the ice time to thaw a little before we set off etc.

Nutters who do not see the morning want more evening. How about we counter with a proposal to set the clock to -1 so we can have more light in the mornings

light in the evenings when we have finished work is better imo, don't care if it's dark 8am. If you leave for work at 5-6am course it's bloody dark, it's the middle of the night

Just the slow ebb into euroville. Not too fussed about the dark providing we keep the £ and pint. I did vote no though.

Lets all go on the dole and we wont care anyway!

I like the long evenings, but its nice to have it as a summer thing.
One hour wont make much difference, leave it as it is, we're British, keep it that way.

Leave it as it is.
I'm looking forward to summer as I don't see the sun from when I leave for work at 05:30 and get home again at 18:00.

I'd prefer an extra hour of daylight in the evening. I get up at 4:30 anyway, so its always dark going to work. It would be nice to come home in the daylight a bit more often.

We had this topic not so long ago. I think it was around the time the clocks went forward (or back, never can remember which way round it is) the last time.

I currently leave the house in the dark and get home in the dark. I've had enough of the dark. Leave it how it is now.
