What would you do?

Heard about that last week. I would have been there if I knew about it when it was happening.

It wasn't the normal sort of thing where you get a £20 note instead of a £10, you were actually getting double the amount you took out. So if your limit is £300 you'd walk away with £600

yup. one of the mates got diesel at 40p a litre the other day at a tesco. he wondered why the pump was gong so slow lol.

From an ATM machine? There's more chance of hell freezing over than me giving it back unless I'm asked for it. Then I'd be exercising my right to silence and asking for proof that the machine over-dispensed the cash. Since the cartridges were wrongly packed, it seems the machine has just been pulling two notes instead of one, it's a physical problem, and the electronics will think it dispensed the correct amount, so they'll have no proof which is the only reason people are not being pursued, they have no idea who got how much money.

Now if it were a wallet found in the street with 500 quid in cash, I'd make damn sure the owner got it back via the local police station.

Never been so lucky...I'd keep it too, makes a change when you get something for your money in this country!

And that is what will happen in this case.

I'd keep it somewhere safe for a few months in case I'm asked for it. After three months I'd consider it mine. And spend it.
