Hi,
Anyone know if the galfer wavey rotors are supposed to have twist movement in them? I presume this is not good? The disks are solid from side to side on their mounts but yesterday I noticed that the disks moved slightly in the direction of rotating. its dificult to explain but hope someone can understand what I'm on about. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this? good or bad? |

Are they new? If not it may be that the buttons are worn.

I thought floating discs were meant to move

Yeah, meant to move but not the this amount, there is a good 2 -3 mill of a move.
Only check em when I thought the breaks were feeling a bit funny. There not new unfortunatly but I'm almost sure they were not like this when i got em. Can the "buttons" be replaced? |

i'd be inclined to check the thickness of the disk before i went ahead and thought about changing the buttons. if they are near their serviceable limit i would replace with new discs.
blackshadow do a good deal and if you see them on their ebay listings at a better price that their website they will match price (well they did with me) |

I fitted some to a friends bike a while back, they were 2nd hand, but looked like they'd done about 50 miles!! They also had quite a bit of movement, but he has had no issues with them.
I've come accross other discs, from other makes with similar, sometimes more movement on the rivet/"buttons". |

Excellent, thats what I was really hoping to hear.
These were second hand too but again no visible wear at all. Even now they look new except for the small bit of surface rust after the winter. Thanks again for confirming !!! |
