Default Ltd Edition model prices?

I'm looking for an SV, originally a 650... now tempted by a thou as well

Seen a couple with the Ltd Edition paint job, I'm undecided wether it suits it or not but just wondered wether these models commanded a premium or not???

Thanks in advance

Stu

look left
right there were 310 made for the uk market they have a extra bit of hp 128 /116 standard
yes they are worth a bit more now but will go up more in the future more than likely
repairs when you bin it like me can get expencive (second hand are ok atm) for the special sz plastics and tank

after muppets like me there are only about 250 left (guessdamation)
keep all standard bits if you can and then stick your aftermarket cans etc on , then resell later as standard (worth more) plus you get some cash back for the aftermarket bits

they do look the dogs dangles and are great bikes

you can still get one at the min for same price as a standard one cos most people dont know how many were made, i ended up phoning suzuki who took 2 weeks to get the numbers and even they were surprised

pay roughly 2500 - 2750 for a minter with low miles, check service history and do check for the following (easy fixs but knocks down price) if the engine knocks on idle but stops when clutch engagedm on test ride, power surge (slight eb and flow) when cruising at 70mph in 5/6, the seller will know about these from riding it so will be more likely to knock some cash off, but as said every thou has it and its easy to fix

ive had 178 indicated then lost my bottle, also thru one down the runway at over a ton and it held up really well

dont think it will flick about like the 650 it wont, but its a great bike with oddles of torque comfy to ride and very capable from doing a trackday to motorway mile munching

Cheers for that, thanks for the price indication. What mechanical differences are there that gives the extra BHP?

Cheers

As Davepreston said really, although I think his prices are slightly low. I paid £3k for mine 06 reg with 3500 miles on the clock. Loads of standard ones are going for more than that.
Mine too has the hesitating at 80 mph. It has got worse since fitting the Yoshimura exhausts. A quick trip to the dyno and either Yoshi box tuning or a PC111 will sort that out.
I've had mine since October, but only managed to get out on it a few times (new baby!) Absolutely love it though!

Not had it done yet! I was in touch with RJS Superbikes at Mallory Park. Dyno run and Yoshi re-map is £70.
A bit far for you though
What's the cure for the clutch problem that you are on about? I think mine does this. Although I wouldn't say it was knocking, it's definitely quieter when I pull the clutch in
