Post so what happens to road tax when you have a 33bhp restricted curvy?

Yeh, me just wishing but on paper shouldn't the tax be £33 rather than some stupid £70?? Sure, it's an 650 but seeing as i can't play with all that, being restricted for 2 years, i can't have that to play with... When restricted sub 400cc right?

Seems extortionate amount when coming from a 125 perspective - used to only throw berries at her and she'd be happy

gd lil forum btw

The tax is set on capacity not power, so no, restricted or not the tax is for a 650cc machine, live with it,

Running any machine, whether a 650 or the lower bracket, is going to cost money, consider a year's costs; insurance, fuel, tyres, MOTs and all the other things you'll have no choice but to fund the difference in the cost of the tax is an irrelevant amount anyway.

There are more important things to worry about - fuel prices being the obvious one.

indeed as has been said tax/insurance & mot costs are the easiest to control really, unlike fuel they are time set, do twice as many mile and the effective cost is halved.

Cheers Mark.

£70 a year is bugger all in the grand scheme of things, but it is slightly annoying that you have to pay 40% more for the little SV than you would for a faster 600cc sports bike.

What happens to road tax?Same as any other tax.The old government would collect it and give it to scrotes to spend on drink. The new government collects it and gives it to rich people who put it in tax havens where the next government cant get it.Either way they take it from the rest of us.
