I have fitted a k5 gsxr1000 rear shock to my 09 sport and want to do the front end. I don't want to do the gsxr front end thing as I want the bike to look as standard as I can. I thought just changing the springs would be ok but apparently not. Was looking at this MATRIS EMULATOR TYPE FORK KIT from PDQ is it too much and a waste of money or should i just get hyper pro springs and race tech emulators. I will be doing a lot of track days so need a setup to suit.

I don't know about the Matris emulators but the Racetech ones aren't bad at all, these plus a set of linear springs (right stiffness for your weight) and you're there, have used this setup for many track days and have no chicken strips on my front tyre.

yup i think YC is doing voodoo injections.
there is another option as to keeping it 'standard' looking and that is GSXR600 K1-3 as they are RWU but have cartridge internals. biggest problem is getting a decent priced front wheel form a GSXR. the rest is pretty cheep as most folk want USD. |

definitely a vote for YC, admittedly I did end up with the GSXR front end but he can cater to all needs and will give you a straight answer on what is "best" for your particular situation.

have you concidered upgrading to the sv thou front end, same rightway up forks but far more ajustability, and iirc a straight swap in

Thou front end hmm? What size is the front wheel as I have a set of 650 wheels and tyres for track days.

Just had a quick look around looks a bit hard for me and my limited tooling and space. I think internals but off topic how does a thou compare to a pointy sv650 handling.
