Default Curvy RH switch gear

Anyone got one going?
First ride of my '02' Curvy and the bike wouldn't accelerate, then....'SNAP'...full revs in 4th gear (approaching sharp bends). Seems the small plastic lug holding the switchgear to the bar snapped and locked the revs on full!!!
Need a replacement ASAFP.
I've checked fleabay but would rather buy from a forum tp be honest.

Are these easy to switch over?
It seems the throttle cables may need replacing too. is this an easy job for an idiot?

Ah! . . . the valve bounce enema.
Don't take my word for it, but a small amount of packing could hold the switch gear firmly enough.
Someone who knows about this will be along in a minute.

Yeah you don't really need the little plastic nipple thing, bit of tape around the bar holds them firmly.
Of course if your throttle cables are twanging tight or balls of rust then that may not work.

In healthy use there is next to no force on the little pins.

Will black sparky tape do the trick? My cables don't seem too bad actually, so I guess I'll try to free them up after i've botched the switchgear. Just out of interest, I went into the bike dealer to ask about the price of the switchgear and the guy said it was a reasonable £108!! I'm all for botching today.

I might have one in the garage. I'll go and have a Look-See now for you
