Default Gear Selection problem.

Hi everyone, i've done a few searches and have the exact same problem as in this thread http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...gear+selecting

I have taken the front sprocket cover off and removed all the gunk and crap, i've caked everything in WD40 which i know isn't ideal but the problem still exists.

Can anyone please explain to me exactly which parts i need to give a serious clean?

Chain adjustment is fine as is oil level, the bike is a K3 naked with 19k on the clocks.
