Default Checking oil level?

evening everyone

just cleaned suzi one again and lubed chain up and checked linkages ect... and checked the oil but when the bike is level i dont see any oil. but when i lean the bike to the left i start to see oil... ( yes the engine is nice and warm ) but is this something that anyone has noticed before?

p.s was anyone in the bolton area been out while the weather was good! passed thru the rivy tops and it was abit like a stream lol

That would suggest with it level the sightglass is full so you can't see a level, leaning it left lets you see the level. Means it's overfilled a bit.

i see the F L mark on the window and when the bike is level i see no oil... the window is clear.... the like i said when i lean it abit to me i start to see oil... the bike is deffinatly not overfilled as i had the bike serviced by a local bike shop in belmont near me. and he is highly qualified mechanic. i first thought that its possibly burning abit of oil??

So your leaning the bike to the right not left. If thats the case the oil level is low

Well that would be leaning it to the right then wouldn't it...

You need me on forum to tell you that this means your oil level is low?

Sit on the bike and get someone (mate etc) to look in oil window for level. sounds low to me.

soon as wife gets home she can sit on it for me... its in the front room looking warm next to the radiator lol

an dmaybe thats why im hearing a very small tappy sound from the top end... due to not enough oil... maybe.. ide like it to be that LOL

Check the level with engine cold not warm/hot. Level will be more accurate.
