Open question about the legality of manual cam chain tensioners.
Reading the regs: www.bemsee.net/info-centre/doc_download/624-minitwin-regs-2011 There's mention of altering internal engine components but where does this leave the tensioners? I'd say they were external to the engine and as I know of at least one bike that's grenaded due to the standard tensioners failing I'd think that in a cost concious series a modification such as this would be a sensible one rather than an illegal one. I'd be happy to receive feedback on this one as I don't want to fall foul of any rules. Cheers. |

I would say not as they are not made or homoligated by suzuki. They are made by homerman in dorset, well thats who sells them on e-bay lol

Just to clarify, you can use the later cam chain tensioners in the early bikes as per the rules but you are not allowed to use any aftermarket products in accordance with the rules.
