Default Hi..new member from Leicester

Hi there..ive been using this site for info over the last few months but just got round to registering. Ive been riding motorbikes since a kid and have always been fond of v-twins. I bought a SV650SK1 2001 in a really nice blue a few months back. It has an M4 Full race system and sounds fantastic and goes really well. I'm very happy with it. Since owning it i have rebuilt the front forks with progressive springs and new seals/oil ect (forks are SK2's). I'm just in the process of replacing the chain and sprockets..you should of seen the teeth on that rear..shocking!! My last bike was a 1200cc Harley Sportster which i had made into a flat tracker..i can't believe how much better the SV650 goes and handles..wish i had been converted a long time ago..it's very light and the brakes are really good. I'm finding the sporty position a bit hard on my wrists at the moment but i'm trying to use my legs and back more..i heard someone say that you need to hold the grips like your holding a wet sponge that you don't want to lose any water out of..this worked well on my last ride. Anyway..i'm waffling..just wanted to say hello

Welcome to the Asylum.

Wait a moment, you've got to be mad to buy a Harley in this country. I think you'll fit in fine.

Keith.
