if you browse on ebay for SV dog bones you'll find items listed as "adds 25mm seat height", "adds 50mm seat height" etc but its been mentioned here before, there are other ways to improve the riding position for taller riders which wont mess up the geometry of the bike. Consider aftermarket adjustable rear sets and a comfort kit with bar risers and so on. That seems to be the way to do it or at least it has better general approval compeared to swapping out the dog bones.

A jack up kit(dogbones) won't help with your 'problem'... distance from pegs to sit would still be the same

Hi mykey, ive got some newish dog bones that are too high for me, these are 145mm hole centre to centre which lift the back quite high. I believe the standard ones are about 110mm. i'm looking for some in the range of about 120mm ish if thats any help.

I made my own.
The hole centre dimension was 95mm which jacked the back end up 47mm. On a curvy the shorter the bones the higher the back end. I think it's the opposite on a pointy but I'm not 100%. I think the standard curvy bones are 108mm hole centre to hole centre. Hope this helps, you didn't say if you have a superior curvy or a pointy?? ![]() |

Hey mykey, I'm not 100% sure what I used now, I'll see what I an find out for you, mine does feel a lot more comfortable now and she corners better. Only problem with jacking up the rear end is its difficult to fit a different shock. I have a zx10 thatwont fit, but I.ll check the dimensions for you.
